The Shakers
Gli Shakers furono la più grande e conosciuta setta utopista americana del 19° secolo.
Erano famosi per il loro modo di vivere inusuale, per l'eccellenza e la semplicità del loro lavoro e la dedizione per la danza che loro dettero il nome.
Per più di 200 anni gli Shakers hanno seguito il loro unico modo di vita basato su principi di eguaglianza e comunità.
Gli shakers producevano i loro mobili soprattutto mobili in multipli, come ad esempio svariate dozzine di sedie dondoli eccetera, questi metodi di produzione non solo risultavano efficenti ma gli aiutavano a mantenere l'uniformità, principio basilare della filosofia degli Shakers. |

The Shakers were been the bigger and well-known utopian faction of the xix Century. They were famous for their unusual way of life, for the excellence and Simple of their job , but also for their love for the dance , from which They have taken the name.

The shakers produced their furniture most of all in series , such as different dozen of rocking chairs and so on. This way of production were very efficent and help them to mantain thier evenness, the main concept of the Shaker's philosophy. |
